❖ Parents Who Treat Daughters Kindly Are Promised Paradise

◈ Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنهما narrated:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever has two daughters and treats them kindly as long as they remain with him — or as long as he lives with them — then they will cause him to enter Paradise.”

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ narration

◈ Al-Ḥasan narrated from al-Aḥnaf:

“I entered upon ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها while a woman came to her with two daughters. ʿĀ’ishah gave her three dates.

She gave one date to each of her daughters, and broke the third into two and shared it between them.
Later, the Prophet ﷺ entered and ʿĀ’ishah told him what had happened.**
He replied:
‘Why are you amazed? Indeed, through that date, Allah has admitted her into Paradise.’”

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Mājah, Kitāb al-Adab, Bāb Birr al-Wālidayn wa al-Iḥsān fī al-Banāt: 3668

◈ Jābir رضي الله عنه narrated:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever has three daughters, provides them shelter, takes care of them, and shows them compassion — Paradise becomes guaranteed for him.”

A man from the crowd asked:
“O Messenger of Allah! What about two daughters?”
He replied:
“Even two.”

✦ Reflection:

These noble aḥādīth show that:

Raising daughters with care, kindness, and dignity is a cause for Paradise.
✔ Even small acts of love, such as giving a date, are valued by Allah when done with sincerity.
✔ The mercy and compassion shown to daughters is a great virtue in the sight of Allah ﷻ.
✔ The number of daughters does not reduce the reward — even two daughters are enough for a parent to earn entry into Jannah if they are treated well.

✔ Summary:

Daughters are a means to earn Paradise, not a burden.
Good treatment, shelter, provision, and compassion toward them are guaranteed paths to Jannah.
③ The Prophet ﷺ encouraged parents to see their daughters as a blessing and test, not a hardship.
Islam elevated the status of daughters when society scorned them — and made their care a cause of eternal reward.
