This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Abu Hamza Abdul Khaliq Siddiqi's book Sahih Fazail-e-Amaal.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning or evening, Allah prepares a hospitality for him in Paradise whenever he goes to the mosque in the morning or evening."

Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
"Shall I not tell you about deeds by doing which Allah will erase sins and raise ranks?" The Companions said, "Certainly, O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "Performing ablution perfectly despite hardship and dislike, walking frequently to the mosques (i.e., coming from a distance), and waiting for the next prayer after one prayer. (The reward for these) is like standing guard at the frontier."

Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Mundhir Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), there was a man whose house was farther than anyone else's, and he never missed a prayer. It was said to him, or I said to him, "If you buy a donkey to ride on in darkness and extreme heat." He replied, "I do not like that my house be next to the mosque, because I want that my walking to the mosque from afar and then returning from there to my family be recorded for me." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said (upon hearing this): "Allah has gathered all this for you."

Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever purifies himself well in his house (i.e., performs ablution or bath) and then goes to one of the houses of Allah (mosque) to perform any of Allah's obligations, his steps will be counted such that one step will erase a sin and the other will raise his rank."

Sayyiduna Buraydah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Give glad tidings of complete light on the Day of Resurrection to those who walk a lot to the mosques in darkness."
