The virtues of Surah Yaseen, Surah Ad-Dukhan, the last verses of Surah Al-Hashr, and Surah Tabarak

This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal Nawaahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamaat o Mamnooat.

Surah Yaseen

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
إن لكل شيء قلبا وقلب القرآن يس، ومن قرأ يس كتب الله له بقراءتها قراءة القرآن عشر مرات
"Everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Surah Yaseen, and whoever recites Surah Yaseen, Allah writes for him the reward equivalent to reciting the Quran ten times because of his recitation."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Virtues of the Quran 2887. Its chain is weak.

Surah Ad-Dukhan

① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA) reports that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
من قرأ حم الدخان فى ليلة الجمعة غفر له
"Whoever recites Surah Hamad-Dukhan on the night of Friday, he is forgiven."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Virtues of the Quran 2888, 2889. This narration is also weak.

Last Verses of Surah Al-Hashr

① Sayyiduna Muqil bin Yasar رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من قال حين يصبح ثلاث مرات: أعوذ بالله السميع العليم من الشيطان الرجيم، ثم قرأ ثلاث آيات من آخر سورة الحشر، وكل الله به سبعين ألف ملك يصلون عليه حتى يمسي، وإن مات فى ذلك اليوم مات شهيدا، ومن قالها حين يمسي كان بتلك المنزلة
"Whoever recites أعوذ بالله السميع العليم من الشيطان الرجيم three times in the morning and then recites the last three verses of Surah Al-Hashr, Allah appoints seventy thousand angels for him who pray for mercy for him until the evening, and if he dies on that day, he will be granted the death of martyrdom. And whoever recites it in the evening, he is like the one who recited it in the morning."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Virtues of the Quran 2922. Musnad Ahmad, The First Musnad of the Basrans 26/5. The narration is weak. In its chain, Khalid bin Tahman is a weak narrator.

Surah Tabarak

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن سورة من القرآن ثلاثون آية شفعت لرجل حتى غفر له، وهى تبارك الذى بيده الملك
"The Surah of thirty verses of the Quran interceded for a man until he was forgiven. And that Surah is Tabarak alladhi biyadihil mulk."
Reference: Abu Dawood, Kitab al-Salat 1400. Tirmidhi, Kitab Fada'il al-Quran 2891. The narration is authentic.

Abu Dawood رحمه الله said:
"It will intercede for its reciter."
② Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrates that a companion set up his tent on a grave, not knowing it was a grave. There was a man inside who began to recite Surah Al-Mulk until he completed it. Then that companion came to the presence of the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and said: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! I set up my tent on a grave, but I did not know it was a grave, and suddenly a man inside began to recite Surah Al-Mulk until he completed it. The Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
هي المانعة، هي المنجية، تنجيه من عذاب القبر
"That Surah prevents (punishment) and it is the savior that will protect from the punishment of the grave."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Kitab Fada'il al-Quran 2890.
