The Virtue of Surah Al-Fatiha

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Rafi' bin Mu'alla رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said to me, "Shall I not teach you the greatest Surah of the Qur'an before you leave the mosque?" Then he took my hand. When we were about to leave the mosque, I said, "O Messenger of Allah! You said you would teach me the greatest Surah of the Qur'an." He said: الحمد لله رب العالمين "This is the seven oft-repeated verses (Al-Sab' Al-Mathani) and the Great Qur'an which has been given to me."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: "Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal, and in one narration, it is mentioned that whoever memorizes the last ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf (will be protected)."
