This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Abu Hamza Abdul Khaliq Siddiqi's book Sahih Fazail-e-Amaal.
Sayyiduna Zubair رضي الله عنه says: On the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was wearing two gold rings. He tried to climb a rock but could not manage it. Sayyiduna Talha رضي الله عنه sat below him, so the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم placed his foot on his shoulder and climbed the rock. I heard the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say: "Talha has made Paradise obligatory for himself."

Al-Albani رحمه الله has graded it as Hasan.Sayyiduna Jabir ibn Abdullah رضي الله عنهما says, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say: "Whoever likes to see a martyr walking on the earth, let him look at Talha ibn Ubaydullah."

Al-Albani رحمه الله has graded it as Sahih.Qais ibn Abi Hazim says: "I saw the hand of Sayyiduna Talha رضي الله عنه with which he protected the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, and it was paralyzed."

Sayyiduna Zubair رضي الله عنه says: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said to me on the day of Quraizah: "May my parents be sacrificed for you."

Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه says: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: "Every prophet had a sincere helper, and my sincere helper is Zubair bin Awwam."

◈ Charity and Benevolence:
Although the Companions رضي الله عنهم were very poor, whatever little they had, they would give in charity and benevolence. Sayyiduna Zubair bin Awwam رضي الله عنه had a thousand slaves; when they earned, he would give the entire amount in charity. Not even a grain would remain in the house.

Sayyiduna Saad رضي الله عنه says, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم prayed: "O Allah! Whenever Saad makes a supplication, accept his prayer."

Al-Albani رحمه الله has declared it "Sahih."Sayyiduna Saad ibn Abi Waqqas رضي الله عنه says, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said on the day of Uhud: "May my parents be sacrificed for you."

◈ Steadfastness:
Mus'ab bin Sa'd رضي الله عنه says that several verses were revealed in favor of Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas رضي الله عنه (explaining in detail) that when Sa'd became a Muslim, his mother swore that she would not speak to him until he abandoned Islam, nor would she eat or drink.
She also said, "I have come to know that Allah has commanded you to be good to your parents, and I am your mother, so I command you to abandon this religion." For three days she neither ate nor drank, until her condition worsened and she fainted and fell down. Then her son Ammar came, gave her water to drink, and helped her stand. Upon regaining consciousness, she began to curse Sa'd رضي الله عنه. Then Allah revealed this verse:
﴿وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حُسْنًا ۖ﴾
"And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents."

﴿وَإِن جَاهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰ أَن تُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۖ وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا ۖ﴾

"But if they strive to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. But accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness."

◈ Love for Dar al-Hijrah Madinah:
The desire for the reward of the Hereafter made Dar al-Hijrah, that is Madinah, so beloved in the eyes of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, that when Sayyiduna Saad bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, became seriously ill in Makkah and lost hope in his life, his only regret was that he was dying in a land far from Dar al-Hijrah, the place to which he had migrated.
