This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Abu Hamza Abdul Khaliq Siddiqi's book Sahi Fazail-e-Amaal.
Sayyiduna Abu Saeed, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Hasan and Husain are the leaders of the youth of Paradise."

Sayyiduna Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, says: There was no one more resembling the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, than Hasan bin Ali, may Allah be pleased with them.

Sayyiduna Bara, may Allah be pleased with him, says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw Hasan and Husain, may Allah be pleased with them, and said: "O Allah! I love these two, so love them as well."

Al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, graded it as Hasan.◈ Hasan bin Ali, may Allah be pleased with them, and the spirit of serving Muslims:
Our master Hasan bin Ali, may Allah be pleased with them both, had the blessed habit of preferring to fulfill the needs of the needy over performing voluntary worship. Once, while he was observing I'tikaf in the mosque, a needy person came and requested him to fulfill his need. He became restless, came out of the I'tikaf, and after fulfilling his need, said: Fulfilling the need of a Muslim brother is better in my view than a month of I'tikaf.

◈ Peacefulness :
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ saw Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali رضي الله عنهما and during the sermon said: "This child of mine is a leader; I hope that Allah Almighty will reconcile two groups of Muslims through him."

(Indeed, when the war occurred between Sayyiduna Muawiyah and Ali رضي الله عنهما, Hasan رضي الله عنه ended the dispute between the two groups by handing over the caliphate, which he inherited from his father, to Muawiyah رضي الله عنه during his own caliphate.)
