This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Abu Hamza Abdul Khaliq Siddiqi's book Sahi Fazail-e-Amaal.
Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه says: When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم passed by us, my mother Umm Sulaym رضي الله عنها, upon hearing the general voice, said: O Messenger of Allah! May my parents be sacrificed for you, this is my little Anas. So the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم made three supplications for me:
I have seen the acceptance of two of them in this world, and I hope for the acceptance of the third in the Hereafter.

Al-Albani رحمه الله declared it "Sahih".◈ Regularity in Congregation:
Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه states that the Companions رضي الله عنهم used to wait for the Isha prayer for so long that their necks would droop from sleepiness.

Al-Albani رحمه الله declared it authentic.◈ Love for the Prophet ﷺ:
Whatever was beloved to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ became beloved to the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, because of their love for him. He ﷺ liked pumpkin very much, and therefore Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه also liked it greatly.

Al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, declared it "Sahih."The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Sayyiduna Khalid ibn Walid رضي الله عنه is a good servant of Allah, and he is one of the swords of Allah."

Al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, declared it "Sahih."◈ Victory by the hand of Khalid ibn Walid رضي الله عنه:
Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه says that upon receiving the news of the martyrdom of Zaid, Ja'far, and Abdullah ibn Rawaha in the Battle of Mu'tah, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم informed us (in Madinah Munawwarah) about their martyrdom. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: First, Zaid ibn Harithah took the flag and was martyred. Then Ja'far took the flag and he too was martyred. Then Abdullah ibn Rawaha took the flag and he was also martyred. At that time, tears were flowing from the eyes of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. (Then he said) that then one of Allah's swords (meaning Khalid ibn Walid) took the flag, and through him, the battle was won.

When Sayyiduna Mus'ab bin Umair رضي الله عنه passed away (was martyred), he left behind only one sheet. When the Companions (while shrouding him) covered his head with that sheet, his feet remained bare, and when they covered his feet, his head remained uncovered. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: "Cover his head, and place dry grass on his feet."

Al-Albani رحمه الله declared it "Sahih."◈ Clothing:
Sayyiduna Mus'ab bin Umair رضي الله عنه, before embracing Islam, lived a life of luxury and wore very fine clothes.

◈ Poverty and Destitution:
The Companions of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with them, lived a life of extreme poverty and destitution. When Sayyiduna Mus'ab ibn Umair, may Allah be pleased with him, was martyred in the Battle of Uhud, there was not even a shroud available for him. Only a single sheet was used as his shroud, but it was so short that if the head was covered, the feet remained exposed, and if the feet were covered, the head was left uncovered. Eventually, the Prophet ﷺ said to cover the head with the sheet and cover the feet with dry grass.
