This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Abu Hamza Abdul Khaliq Siddiqi's book Sahih Fazail-e-Amaal.

The Virtue of the Last Two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah

وعن أبى مسعود البدري رضي الله عنه عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: من قرأ بالآيتين من آخر سورة البقرة فى ليلة كفتاه .
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Masood Badri (RA), the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him."
Reference: Sahih Bukhari, Book of Virtues of the Quran, Chapter: No harm in saying Surah Al-Fatiha and such and such Surah, No. 5040 – Sahih Muslim, Book of Traveler’s Prayer, Chapter: Virtue of Surah Al-Fatiha and the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, No. 807.

Benefit: Some have said that "they will be sufficient" means that on that night, the person will be protected from undesirable things, and some have said that it means they will be sufficient for the night prayer (Qiyam al-Layl). (That is, these two verses contain the reward of Qiyam al-Layl.)

وعن أبى هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: لا تجعلوا بيوتكم مقابر إن الشيطان ينفر من البيت الذى تقرأ فيه سورة البقرة .
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA), the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not make your houses like graveyards. Indeed, Satan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited."
