Allah has commanded the remembrancers:
﴿أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ﴾
"Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest."

And the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not is like the living and the dead."

Allah Almighty says:
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا﴾
"O you who have believed, remember Allah with much remembrance."

And He further said:
﴿وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا .﴾
"And the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward."
