The Virtue of Fighting in the Way of Allah

Seize the reins of turmoil from the sea with greater force
Clash in such a way that every wave becomes a caller
”Prepare against the disbelievers your strength and your horses, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and others besides them whom you do not know, but Allah knows them. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.“
Reference: (8-Al-Anfal:60)

”Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.“
Reference: (2-Al-Baqarah:216)

”Have you made those who provide water for the pilgrims and maintain the Sacred Mosque equal to the one who believes in Allah and the Last Day and strives in the cause of Allah? They are not equal in the sight of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. Those who believe and have emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are of a higher rank in the sight of Allah. And it is those who are the successful. Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Himself and approval and of gardens wherein they will abide eternally. Indeed, Allah has with Him a great reward.“
Reference: (9-At-Tawbah:19 to 22)

Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
I was sitting near the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), when a man said: After embracing Islam, it is sufficient for me to provide water to the pilgrims. Another said: After embracing Islam, the best deed for me is to maintain the Sacred Mosque. The third said: In my view, striving in the cause of Allah is superior to the deeds you mentioned. (At that moment their voices rose) Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) rebuked them, saying: Do not raise your voices near the pulpit of the Messenger on Friday. After the Friday prayer, I will ask the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about this. Then Allah, the Almighty, revealed the above verses.

Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ”Paradise has one hundred degrees which Allah has prepared for the Mujahideen who strive in His cause. The distance between two degrees is like the distance between the heaven and the earth.“

Create the atmosphere of Badr, angels descend in rows from the clouds even now
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and asked: Who are the best people? He (peace be upon him) said: ”The believer who strives in the cause of Allah with his soul and wealth.“ He asked: Then who? He said: ”The believer who worships Allah in a valley among the mountains and protects people from his evil.“

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): Which deed is the most virtuous? He said: ”To pray on time.“ I said: Then which? He said: ”To be good to one's parents.“ I said: Then which? He said: ”To strive in the cause of Allah.“
