This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
ما من عبد يصوم يوما فى سبيل الله إلا باعد الله وجهه عن النار سبعين خريفا
"Whoever fasts one day in the way of Allah, Allah distances him from Hellfire by a distance equivalent to seventy years."

② Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من صام يوما فى سبيل الله جعل الله بينه وبين النار خندقا كما بين السماء والأرض
"Whoever fasts one day in the way of Allah, Allah creates a trench between him and Hellfire as vast as the earth and the sky."

I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan and related rulings
① Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم used to perform I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.

Seeking and Searching for Laylat al-Qadr
① It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha رضي الله عنها that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
تحروا ليلة القدر فى العشر الأواخر من رمضان
"Seek and search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan."
