I am afflicted with a severe illness and wish to learn about the times when supplications are accepted.
Answer:
It is narrated from the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم:
『أدعوا لله و أنتم موقنون بالإجابة』
“Supplicate to Allah while being certain of the response.”
The times of acceptance are as follows:
➊ Laylat al-Qadr
➋ After the obligatory prayers
➌ In the last third of the night
➍ Between the Adhan and Iqamah
➎ At the time of the Adhan for the obligatory prayer
➏ At the time of the Iqamah
➐ When rain is falling
➑ At the time of encounter with the enemy in the path of Allah
➒ In the final moments of Friday
➓ During Suhoor (pre-dawn) time
⓫ When drinking Zamzam water with good intention
⓬ When waking up at night
⓭ By reciting the Prophetic supplications and the dua: “لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ”
⓮ At the start of the prayer
⓯ Before concluding the prayer (before Salam) while reciting: “اللهم إني أسئلك يا الله الواحد الصمد الذى لم يلد ولم يولد ولم يكن له كفوا أحد”
⓰ On the Day of Arafah at the time of Hajj supplication
⓱ When the rooster crows
