Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan رضي الله عنها narrated:
She said:
"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
'Whoever prays twelve Rak'ahs in a day and night, other than the obligatory prayers, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise,' or he said, 'A house will be built for him in Paradise.'"
(Sahih Muslim, Book of Travelers’ Prayer, Hadith no. 729 – Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Chapters of Prayer, Hadith no. 415)
but he consistently observed the Sunnah of Fajr and the Witr prayer.
For us, the blessed personality of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the perfect example, as Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:
لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
(Al-Ahzab: 21)
"Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example."
✿ Evidences and Virtues of Confirmed Sunnah Rak'ahs
It is Sunnah for every Muslim man and woman, while residing (not traveling), to perform twelve Rak'ahs of Sunnah prayers daily as follows:➤ Two Rak'ahs before Fajr prayer
➤ Four Rak'ahs before Zuhr prayer
➤ Two Rak'ahs after Zuhr prayer
➤ Two Rak'ahs after Maghrib prayer
➤ Two Rak'ahs after Isha prayer

✿ Sunnah Practice During Travel
While traveling, the Noble Prophet ﷺ would omit the Sunnah prayers of Zuhr, Maghrib, and Isha,but he consistently observed the Sunnah of Fajr and the Witr prayer.
