Reciting Salat on the Prophet (peace be upon him), such as the customary phrases "As-Salatu was-Salamu Alayka Ya Rasul Allah" at the beginning of the Adhan, is not established from the Sunnah. Reciting the prescribed Salat and Adhkar after the Adhan is considered virtuous and recommended.
