If a person has a doubt that a portion of his land may include some part of waqf land, caution must be exercised regarding the waqf land near his property. If there is any suspicion about this land, it should be left as part of the waqf and not used for cultivation or personal benefit.
The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
“Leave what makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt.”
[Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith no. 2518; Sunan Nasa’i, Hadith no. 5711]
[al-Lajnah ad-Da’imah: Fatwa no. 11185]
