The Reward of Doing Good Deeds in the First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: "The amount of good deeds that Allah Almighty likes in these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah) is not liked as much in the rest of the days." The Companions asked, "Is Jihad in the way of Allah also not as liked?" He صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم replied, "Not even Jihad fi Sabilillah. However, the person who goes out with his wealth and life in the way of Allah and does not bring back anything from it is better than that."
