The Prayer of Prophet Musa (Moses) عليه السلام in the Light of the Quran

This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Abu Hamza Abdul Khaliq Siddiqi's book Sahih Fazail Amaal.

The Prayer of Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him)

Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) left Egypt and headed towards Midian. He safely crossed the borders of Egypt and reached the area of Midian. While walking, he came to a well where he met two girls. He gave water to their goats, then sat under a tree and prayed, "My Lord! The means of earning livelihood that has just appeared before me, I am in need of it," meaning the girls' father needed a worker and he needed livelihood:
﴿رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ﴾ ‎
"O my Lord! Whoever You bestow favor upon, I am in need of it."
