The only religion acceptable to Allah is Islam: In the light of the Quran

Question: What is religion in the sight of Allah?​

Answer: Allah Almighty says: [اِنَّ الدِّیۡنَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ الۡاِسۡلَامُ] Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is only Islam.

Question: Is it permissible to follow any religion other than Islam?​

Answer: Allah Almighty commands: [اِتَّبِعُوۡا مَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَیۡکُمۡ مِّنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ وَ لَا تَتَّبِعُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِہٖۤ اَوۡلِیَآءَ ؕ] O people! Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other protectors besides Him.

And He also said: [وَ مَنۡ یَّبۡتَغِ غَیۡرَ الۡاِسۡلَامِ دِیۡنًا فَلَنۡ یُّقۡبَلَ مِنۡہُ ۚ وَ ہُوَ فِی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِیۡنَ] And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter.
