❖ Obligation of Performing Funeral Prayer Over the Deceased ❖

Offering the funeral prayer (Ṣalāh al-Janāzah) for the deceased is an obligatory act in Islam.
❖ It is narrated that when someone who was in debt passed away, the Prophet ﷺ refrained from leading his funeral prayer, yet instructed others to perform it, saying:
"صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ"
"Pray over your companion."
