Question:
Is it true that a Muslim is not affected by the evil eye of a disbeliever? What is the proof for this? Can I perform the prostration of recitation (sajdat al-tilāwah) in normal circumstances, even if my head and body are uncovered?
Answer:
This is not true. Just as a Muslim can be affected by the evil eye of another Muslim, they can also be affected by the evil eye of a disbeliever. The reality of the evil eye is affirmed in the Sharīʿah.
As for the prostration of recitation, it is permissible to perform it in any condition. If your head or other parts of the body are uncovered, there is no harm in this, because according to the stronger opinion, the prostration of recitation does not hold the same ruling as Salah.
