The Dajjal: The Greatest Trial of the World!

Hazrat Imran bin Husain (RA) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say that from the birth of Adam until the Day of Judgment, there is no greater trial than the Dajjal.

In one narration:
From the birth of Adam until the occurrence of the Hour, there is no greater trial than the trial of the Dajjal.

Hazrat Hudhaifa (RA) says that when the mention of the Dajjal was made to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), he said: I fear for you the mutual trials and corruption among yourselves more than the trial of the Dajjal. Whoever among the previous people was saved from this trial is truly saved, and to this day, whatever small or great trial occurs in the world is due to the trial of the Dajjal.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Every prophet who was sent warned his nation about the one-eyed liar (the Dajjal). Beware! He is one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed, and between his eyes will be written the word "Kafir" (disbeliever).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Hawala (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Whoever is saved from three (events) will be saved. He repeated this three times. Then he said:
(1) My death
(2) The Dajjal
(3) And the killing of the just, generous caliph who upholds the true religion.

It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: By Allah, the Hour will not be established until thirty liars appear, and the last of them will be the one-eyed Dajjal whose left eye will be defective.

Hazrat Safinah (RA), who was a servant of the Prophet (PBUH), narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) gave us a sermon and said: Beware! Every prophet before me warned his nation about the Dajjal. He will be one-eyed from the left eye, and on his right eye there will be a swollen flesh, and between his eyes will be written "Kafir." When he emerges, he will have two valleys with him, one of paradise and the other of fire. His fire will be like paradise, but his paradise will be fire. He will have two angels with him who will appear as two prophets. If I wished, I could tell you their names and their ancestors. One will be on the right side of the Dajjal and the other on the left, and they will be a trial. The Dajjal will say: O people! Am I not your Lord? Do I not give life and cause death? Then one angel will say: You lie, but no one except the other angel will hear this. The companion angel will reply: Yes, your statement is true (that he is a liar and not the Lord). People will hear the second angel and think that he is supporting the Dajjal, while in fact, he is confirming the first angel's statement that the Dajjal is a liar, and this will be a trial. Then the Dajjal will proceed towards Medina but will not be allowed to enter it. He will say: This is the town of so-and-so (Muhammad PBUH). Then he will go towards Syria, and Allah will kill him near the valley of Afiq (Bab al-Ludd) by the hands of Jesus (AS).

It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: The Dajjal will emerge, his left eye will be blind, and on it will be a hard swelling. He will cure leprosy and vitiligo, and will show the dead alive. He will say to the people: I am your Lord. Whoever acknowledges that you are my Lord will be afflicted by the trial, and whoever says: My Lord is Allah and even sacrifices his life for that, will be saved from the trial of the Dajjal and will have no trial or punishment thereafter. The Dajjal will remain on earth until Allah wills otherwise. Then Jesus son of Mary (AS) will descend from the west, confirm Muhammad Kareem (PBUH), and establish the same religion (Islam). He will kill the Dajjal, and then the Hour will be established.
