② Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah رضي الله عنهما also narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say three days before his death:
لا يموتن أحدكم إلا وهو يحسن الظن بالله تعالى
"Each one of you should die while having good expectations of Allah Almighty."

③ Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
قال الله تعالى: أنا عند ظن عبدي بي
"Allah Almighty said: I deal with My servant according to how he thinks and hopes from Me."

④ Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه also narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن حسن الظن بالله تعالى من حسن العبادة
"Having good expectations of Allah Almighty is part of good worship."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم passed by a man from the Ansar who was advising his brother about modesty. He was saying, "You are very modest, to the extent that he wanted to say that this might be harmful to you." The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
دعه فإن الحياء من الإيمان
"Leave him, for modesty is part of faith."
Reference: Bukhari, Book of Manners (6118,24). Muslim, Book of Faith (36). Abu Dawood, Book of Manners (4795).
② Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain رضي الله عنه states that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الحياء لا يأتى إلا بخير
"The end of modesty is goodness."

③ It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الحياء من الإيمان والإيمان فى الجنة، والبذاء من الجفاء والجفاء فى النار
"Modesty is part of faith, and the place of faith is Paradise. While bad character is part of hardness of heart and indifference, and the place of hardness of heart and indifference is Hell."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Al-Birr wal-Silah (2009). Al-Mustadrak by Al-Hakim (52/1-53). Sharh al-Sunnah by Al-Baghawi (172/13). The narration is authentic.
④ Sayyiduna Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه states that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الحياء والعي شعبتان من الإيمان، والبداء والبيان شعبتان من النفاق
"Modesty and speaking little are two parts of faith, while obscenity and excessive talking are two parts of hypocrisy."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Al-Birr wal-Silah from the Messenger of Allah (2077). Musnad Ahmad (5/269). The narration is authentic.
⑤ Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه states that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
استحيوا من الله حق الحياء
"Be modest towards Allah as is due to Him."
The Companions رضي الله عنهم said: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! Praise be to Allah, we are modest towards Allah.
"That is not the case; rather, modesty towards Allah as is due to Him is that you protect your head and its parts (eyes, ears, tongue) and your stomach and its parts (private parts, etc.). Remember death and decaying things. Whoever desires the Hereafter abandons the adornments of this world and prefers the Hereafter over this world. So whoever has this character, it is as if he has been modest towards Allah as is due to Him."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of the Description of the Resurrection, Softening of Hearts, and Piety from the Messenger of Allah (2458), Musnad Ahmad, Musnad al-Mukthirin (387/1). The narration is good.
