All praise belongs to Allah, and peace be upon His chosen servants, especially upon the leader of the Prophets, Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ, his purified family, and his pious companions until the Day of Judgment.
Among the five pillars of Islam is Ḥajj, which is obligatory upon every financially and physically capable Muslim. As Allah ﷻ commands:
وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا (Aal-e-Imran: 97)
This obligation is upon those who have the means and provision for the journey and whose family’s needs are also met in their absence.
✔ Not for fame or the title of "Hajji"
✔ Solely for fulfilling the command of Allah ﷻ
May Allah accept the efforts of the sincere. آمين
Its explanation:
❀ Feeding others
❀ Speaking kindly
❀ Avoiding disputes during Hajj
Arguments over food, space, or facilities are instigated by Shayṭān. Avoid them to ensure your Ḥajj is Mabroor.
"The pilgrims and those performing Umrah are Allah's guests. Their supplications are accepted, and their sins are forgiven."
✔ “Indeed, Allah is pure and only accepts that which is pure.” (Muslim)
✔ Pilgrimage performed with unlawful wealth is not accepted.
② Dua Before Leaving Home:
Read the Sunnah supplications before setting off, like:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى...
③ Maintain Good Character with Fellow Pilgrims:
✔ Show kindness to the elderly, women, and the needy.
② Tamattu‘ – Umrah first, then Hajj with a new Ihram
③ Ifrad – Only Hajj in a single Ihram
Note: For most non-residents of Makkah, Tamattu‘ is preferable due to ease and relief from Ihram after Umrah.
✔ Men: Wear two white sheets, uncover the head
✔ Women: Regular modest clothing, uncover the face unless in presence of non-mahram
✔ At Miqat: Make intention and say the Talbiyah
لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ...
