حکم الولاء لرسول اللٰہ صلی اللٰه علیہ وسلم
After Allah Almighty, it is obligatory upon the believers to have such love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that surpasses all other loves.
❀ [قُلۡ اِنۡ کَانَ اٰبَآؤُکُمۡ وَ اَبۡنَآؤُکُمۡ وَ اِخۡوَانُکُمۡ وَ اَزۡوَاجُکُمۡ وَ عَشِیۡرَتُکُمۡ وَ اَمۡوَالُۨ اقۡتَرَفۡتُمُوۡہَا وَ تِجَارَۃٌ تَخۡشَوۡنَ کَسَادَہَا وَ مَسٰکِنُ تَرۡضَوۡنَہَاۤ اَحَبَّ اِلَیۡکُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ وَ رَسُوۡلِہٖ وَ جِہَادٍ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِہٖ فَتَرَبَّصُوۡا حَتّٰی یَاۡتِیَ اللّٰہُ بِاَمۡرِہٖ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ لَا یَہۡدِی الۡقَوۡمَ الۡفٰسِقِیۡنَ]
O Prophet! Say, if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, the wealth you have earned, your trade whose decline you fear, and your favorite homes are more beloved to you than Allah, His Messenger, and striving in His cause, then wait until Allah brings His decision. And remember, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient.

❀ [اِنَّ اللّٰہَ وَ مَلٰٓئِکَتَہٗ یُصَلُّوۡنَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ ؕ یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا صَلُّوۡا عَلَیۡہِ وَ سَلِّمُوۡا تَسۡلِیۡمًا]
Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.

❀ [عن أنس بن مالك، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا يؤمن أحدكم، حتى أكون أحب إليه من، ولده، ووالده، والناس أجمعين]
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: A person cannot be a believer until he loves me more than his father (and mother), his son (and daughters), and all people.

❀ [عن أنس، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا يؤمن عبد، حتى أكون أحب إليه من أهله وماله والناس أجمعين]
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: A person cannot be a believer until he loves me more than his family, wealth, and all people.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is more beloved and respected to the believers than their own lives.
❀ [اَلنَّبِیُّ اَوۡلٰی بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ مِنۡ اَنۡفُسِہِمۡ وَ اَزۡوَاجُہٗۤ اُمَّہٰتُہُمۡ ؕ]
The Prophet's person is more precious to the believers than their own selves, and the Prophet's wives are the mothers of the believers.

❀ [عن عبد الله بن هشام، قال: كنا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وهو آخذ بيد عمر بن الخطاب، فقال له عمر: يا رسول الله، لأنت أحب إلي من كل شيء إلا من نفسي، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا والذي نفسي بيده، حتى أكون أحب إليك من نفسك، فقال له عمر: فإنه الآن والله لأنت أحب إلي من نفسي، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: الآن يا عمر]
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hisham (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and he was holding the hand of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! You are more beloved to me than everything else except my own self. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: No! By the One in Whose hand is my soul, you cannot be a believer until you love me more than your own self. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! Now you are more beloved to me than my own self. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: O Umar! Now you are a complete believer.

The love of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
❀ [عن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه, أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم جلس على المنبر، فقال: إن عبدا خيره الله بين أن يؤتيه من زهرة الدنيا ما شاء, وبين ما عنده فاختار ما عنده فبكى أبو بكر، وقال: فديناك بآبائنا وأمهاتنا فعجبنا له، وقال الناس: انظروا إلى هذا الشيخ يخبر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن عبد خيره الله بين أن يؤتيه من زهرة الدنيا وبين ما عنده وهو، يقول: فديناك بآبائنا وأمهاتنا ، فكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هو المخير وكان أبو بكر هو أعلمنا به]
Narrated by Sayyidina Abu Saeed Khudri رضي الله عنه that one day the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم came to the pulpit and said: Allah Almighty has given a servant the choice that if he wishes, he may take the blessings of this world from Allah, and if he wishes, he may take what is with Allah (in the Hereafter). This servant has chosen what is with Allah. Upon hearing this, Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه began to weep and said: May our parents be sacrificed for you. We were surprised at Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه’s words. People said: Look at this old man (weeping without reason). The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم mentioned a servant whom Allah Almighty has given the choice between the blessings of this world and the blessings of the Hereafter, and Abu Bakr is saying: May our parents be sacrificed for you! Whereas the "servant who was given the choice" was none other than the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم himself. Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه truly understood your words before us.

The Ansar's Love for You, O Prophet ﷺ.
❀ [عن أنس بن مالك، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أفرد يوم أحد في سبعة من الأنصار ورجلين من قريش، فلما رهقوه، قال: من يردهم عنا وله الجنة أو هو رفيقي في الجنة، فتقدم رجل من الأنصار فقاتل حتى قتل ثم رهقوه أيضا، فقال: من يردهم عنا وله الجنة أو هو رفيقي في الجنة، فتقدم رجل من الأنصار فقاتل حتى قتل فلم يزل كذلك حتى قتل السبعة، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لصاحبيه: ما أنصفنا أصحابنا]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the Battle of Uhud, at one point, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) separated from the entire army with only seven Ansaris and two Qurayshis. The disbelievers then launched a fierce attack on him (to kill him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Who will drive these disbelievers away from us? For him is Paradise, or he said, he will be my companion in Paradise. One man from the Ansar stepped forward, fought until he was martyred. Then the disbelievers attacked the Prophet (peace be upon him) again. The Prophet (peace be upon him) repeated the same statement: Who is it that will drive them away from us? For him is Paradise, or he said, he will be my companion in Paradise. Another Ansari stepped forward, fought and was killed. This continued until all seven Ansaris were martyred one after another. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then said to his Qurayshi companions: We have not done justice to our Ansari companions. (Meaning the Qurayshi youths should also have stepped forward)

Explanation:
We did not do justice to our companions. This could also mean that the Companions of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with them, who scattered in fear of their lives... they did not do justice to the Companions who protected me. واللہ اعلم بالصواب!
The love of Sayyiduna Mu'adh ibn Amr ibn Jamooh and Sayyiduna Mu'adh ibn Afra' رضي الله عنه for the Prophet ﷺ.
❀ [عن عبد الرحمن بن عوفٍ قال: إنّي لواقفٌ يوم بدرٍ في الصفّ، فنظرتُ عن يميني وشمالي، فإذا أنا بين غُلامين من الأنصار حديثةٍ أسنانُهما، فتمنّيتُ أن أكُون بين أَظلَعَ منهما، فغمزني أحدُهما فقال: يا عمّ، أتعرفُ أبا جهلٍ؟ فقلتُ: نعم، وما حاجتُك إليه؟ قال: أُخبرتُ أنّه يسُبُّ رسول اللَّه صلى الله عليه وسلم، والذي نفسي بيده لئن رأيتُه، لا يُفارقُ سوادي سوادَه حتى يموت الأعجلُ منا فتعجّبتُ لذلك، فغمزني الآخرُ فقال لي أيضًا مثلها، فلم أنشب أن نظرتُ إلى أبي جهلٍ وهو يجُولُ في الناس، فقلتُ: ألا تريان؟ هذا صاحبُكم الذي تسألان عنه. فابتدراه بسيفيهما، فضرباه حتى قتلاه]
Sayyiduna Abdul Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) says: On the day of Badr, I was standing in the ranks when I suddenly saw two young Ansar standing to my right and left. I wished that I were among the strong, brave young men in this battlefield instead of the younger ones. One of them signaled to get my attention and asked: Uncle! Do you know who Abu Jahl is? I said yes, I know, but what will you do to him? He said, I have learned that he insults the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). By the One in whose hand is my life, if I see him, my existence will not separate from his until the one among us whose death is written first dies. I was amazed at this young man's words. Then the other young man signaled to me and asked the same question. Within moments, my eyes fell upon Abu Jahl; he was moving among the people. I addressed the two and said, "Hey, don't you see? There is Abu Jahl, about whom you were asking me." Upon hearing this, both of them suddenly lunged with their swords and killed him.

The Love of Sayyiduna Abu Talha (RA) for the Messenger of Allah (SAW).
❀ [عن أنس بن مالك، قال: لما كان يوم أحد انهزم ناس من الناس، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وأبو طلحة بين يدي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مجوب عليه بحجفة، قال: وكان أبو طلحة رجلا راميا شديد النزع وكسر يومئذ قوسين أو ثلاثا، قال: فكان الرجل يمر معه الجعبة من النبل، فيقول: انثرها لأبي طلحة، قال: ويشرف نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ينظر إلى القوم، فيقول أبو طلحة: يا نبي الله، بأبي أنت وأمي لا تشرف لا يصبك سهم من سهام القوم نحري دون نحرك]
Sayyiduna Anas (bin Malik) (RA) says that on the day of Uhud, due to the defeat, the Companions (RA) separated from the Messenger of Allah (SAW). Only Abu Talha (RA) remained with the Prophet (SAW). He had his shield over the Prophet (SAW). Sayyiduna Abu Talha (RA) was a powerful archer; that day, two or three bows broke in his hands. Whenever a Companion went out carrying a quiver of arrows, the Prophet (SAW) would say: Keep these arrows for Abu Talha (RA). When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) raised his blessed head to look towards the disbelievers, Abu Talha (RA) would say: O Prophet of Allah (SAW)! May my parents be sacrificed for you, do not raise your blessed head, lest an arrow from a disbeliever hits you. My chest is in front of your chest.

The Love of Sayyiduna Khabeeb bin Adi (RA) for the Messenger of Allah.
❀ [عن عروة بن الزبير في حديث طويل۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔وقتل خبيب بن عدي أبناء المشركين الذين قتلوا يوم بدر، فلما وضعوا فيه السلاح وهو مصلوب نادوه وناشدوه: أتحب محمدا مكانك؟ فقال: لا والله العظيم ما أحب أن يفديني بشوكة يشاكها في قدمه، فضحكوا]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Urwah bin Zubair (RA) that when the polytheists whose ancestors were killed in Badr started to kill Sayyiduna Khabeeb (RA), they swore and asked him: Do you wish that Muhammad (SAW) were in your place so that you would be saved from being crucified? Sayyiduna Khabeeb (RA) replied: No, by Allah, the Most Great and Most High! I do not even wish that a thorn pricks the blessed foot of the Prophet (SAW) in my place. Upon this, the polytheists laughed loudly.

The Love of Sayyiduna Rabee'ah Aslami (RA) for the Prophet (SAW).
❀ [حدثني ربيعة بن كعب الأسلمي، قال: كنت أبيت مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فأتيته بوضوئه وحاجته، فقال لي: سل، فقلت: أسألك مرافقتك في الجنة؟ قال: أو غير ذلك، قلت: هو ذاك، قال: فأعني على نفسك، بكثرة السجود]
Sayyiduna Rabi'ah bin Ka'b Aslami رضي الله عنه says: I used to spend the night at the Prophet Muhammad's صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم place, bringing water for his ablution and other necessary items. One day, the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم happily said: If you want to ask for anything, then ask. I said: I desire your companionship in Paradise. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم then asked: Anything else? I said: That is all. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Support me with frequent prostrations (so that it becomes easy for me to intercede for you).

The love of the date palm stalk for the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم.
❀ [عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، كان يقوم يوم الجمعة إلى شجرة أو نخلة، فقالت: امرأة من الأنصار أو رجل يا رسول الله ألا نجعل لك منبرا، قال: إن شئتم فجعلوا له منبرا فلما كان يوم الجمعة دفع إلى المنبر فصاحت النخلة صياح الصبي، ثم نزل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فضمه إليه تئن أنين الصبي الذي يسكن قال: كانت تبكي على ما كانت تسمع من الذكر عندها]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah رضي الله عنه that the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم used to lean against a tree or a date palm trunk while delivering the Friday sermon. A woman or a man from the Ansar asked: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! Should we not have a pulpit made for you? The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: If you wish, then have one made. They made a pulpit for him, and when Friday came, the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ascended the pulpit. The date palm trunk began to crack and cry as if a child was crying loudly. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم came down from the pulpit and embraced the tree, and it made a soft sound like a child being comforted. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: It cries because it used to hear the remembrance of Allah due to my closeness.

Explanation:
Hasan Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, when narrating this hadith, used to weep and say: O servants of Allah, a dry piece of wood wept over the separation from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, so we should weep even more than that.

❀ [عن قتادة، سمعت أنسا رضي الله عنه, أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم, قال: هذا جبل يحبنا ونحبه]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that (while returning from Khaibar) the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saw Mount Uhud and said: This mountain loves us and we love it.
