Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) used to recite Takbeerat starting from the Fajr prayer on the Day of ‘Arafah (9th Dhul-Hijjah) until the ‘Asr prayer on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah.

From Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه), the following wording of the Takbeerat is authentically reported:
اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ وَأَجَلُ، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلّٰهِ الْحَمْدُ

❖ Takbeerat of ‘Eid

From Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه), the following wording of the Takbeerat is authentically reported:
اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ وَأَجَلُ، اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلّٰهِ الْحَمْدُ
