Where was Surah Al-Mā’idah revealed?
❖ Answer:
Surah Al-Mā’idah is a Madani Surah.
❖ Scholarly Consensus:
❀ Imam Ibn ʿAṭiyyah رحمه الله (d. 542 AH) stated:
"هذه السورة مدنية بإجماع"
"This Surah is Madani by consensus."
(Tafsīr Ibn ʿAṭiyyah: 2/143)
✔ Conclusion:
Surah Al-Mā’idah was revealed in Madinah, and this is agreed upon unanimously by the scholars of the Ummah.
