This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Ja'd Zamari رضي الله عنه, who is a companion of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
من ترك ثلاث جمع تهاونا بها طبع الله على قلبه
"Whoever neglects three Fridays out of indifference, Allah will seal his heart."

② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrated that they heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say from the pulpit:
لينتهين أقوام عن ودعهم الجمعات أو ليختمن الله على قلوبهم ثم ليكونن من الغافلين
"People should stop neglecting Friday prayer, otherwise Allah will seal their hearts and then they will be among the heedless."

③ It is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said regarding those who miss Friday prayer:
لقد هممت أن آمر رجلا يصلي بالناس ثم أحرق على رجال يتخلفون عن الجمعة بيوتهم
"I intended to order a man to lead the people in prayer, then burn those who miss Friday prayer along with their houses."

Explanation: Those who do not attend Friday prayer, Allah will seal their hearts. This means that a covering comes over their hearts, it becomes closed, and then a seal is placed on it, so no good or benefit can reach them.
① It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw two men talking while the Imam was delivering the Friday sermon. So he threw a pebble towards them to make them stop talking.

① Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who said:
إذا قلت لصاحبك: أنصت يوم الجمعة والإمام يخطب فقد لغوت
"When on the day of Friday you say to your companion during the Imam's sermon: Be silent, then you have erred in speaking."

① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates mursal, the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say:
لأن يصلي أحدكم بظهر الحرة خير له من أن يقعد حتى إذا قام الإمام يخطب جاء يتخطى رقاب الناس يوم الجمعة
"If any of you prays on land with black stones, it is better for him to remain seated until the Imam stands to deliver the sermon, for then he comes and throws people's necks on Friday."

② Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Basar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, on Friday a man was throwing people's necks while the Prophet (peace be upon him) was addressing. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
اجلس فقد آذيت
"Sit down, you have caused harm."

③ Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من تختى رقاب الناس يوم الجمعة اتخذ جسرا إلى جهنم
"Whoever throws people's necks on Friday is actually building a bridge towards Hell."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
لا تخصوا ليلة الجمعة بقيام من بين الليالي ولا تخصوا يوم الجمعة بصيام من بين الأيام إلا أن يكون فى صيام يصومه أحدكم
"Do not make the night of Friday exclusively for prayer over other nights, nor make the day of Friday exclusively for fasting over other days, except that one of you may fast."
