Sign of the Day of Judgment: Trust will be lost and betrayal will be widespread
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was engaged in conversation with people in his gathering when a villager came and said: O Messenger of Allah! When will the Day of Judgment come? The Prophet (PBUH) said: "When trust is lost, then await the Day of Judgment." He asked: How will trust be lost? He replied: "When affairs are entrusted to the unworthy, then await the Day of Judgment."

Hazrat Hudhaifa (RA) says that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) narrated two hadiths to us, one of which I have already witnessed and the other I am awaiting. The Prophet (PBUH) told us that trust descends into the depths of people's hearts and then is strengthened by the Quran and the noble hadith. And in the second hadith, he mentioned the removal of trust, saying: A man will sleep once and trust will be removed from his heart, leaving a slight stain of dishonesty. Then he will sleep again and that stain will become like a blister, like when you throw a burning coal on the foot and it forms a swollen blister that is hollow inside. Then the situation will be such that people will trade but no one will be trustworthy. It will be said that so-and-so is a trustworthy person among the people. It will also be said that he is very wise, patient, and tolerant, yet there will not be even a mustard seed of faith (trust) in his heart. (Hazrat Hudhaifa (RA) says) I have seen a time when I used to trade without fear or danger; if the trader was a Muslim, his Islam would prevent him from dishonesty, and if he was a Christian, their helpers would prevent him. But now (due to the increase in dishonesty) I do not trade with anyone except so-and-so and so-and-so.

In another narration, the Prophet (PBUH) joined the fingers of both his hands and said that in this way their promises and trusts will become mixed up and confused. (Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA) asked) O Messenger of Allah! What should I do then? He said: "Fear Allah, do good deeds, avoid evil, and care especially for yourself, leaving others."

Benefits:
(1) The disappearance of trustworthiness is a sign of the Day of Judgment, which has been manifesting for a long time and will gradually increase leading to the Day of Judgment.
(2) Trustworthiness gradually decreases and is replaced by increasing treachery.
(3) Appointing unworthy people to government, leadership, administration, judiciary, legislature, and every responsibility is among the signs of the Day of Judgment.
(4) When a flood of treachery begins from the top, it is unlikely that the lower levels will remain safe.
(5) This flood began during the best of times; the fights for leadership between Banu Umayyah and Banu Abbas are links in this chain.
(6) As trustworthiness disappears, treachery will spread until thieves, robbers, scoundrels, and greedy people become common everywhere, and the Day of Judgment will be established upon these people.
(7) In the current democratic era, every traitor and worse wrongdoer seeks leadership and office, whereas office is a responsibility and trust, and only a righteous and trustworthy person who constantly feels accountable before Allah deserves it. Moreover, such a person should never desire or seek office because the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said:
"By Allah! We never entrust responsibility to anyone who desires or is greedy for it."

In one narration, it is said: "Whoever intends it."
Whereas the current political system is completely opposite and contradictory to Islamic politics.
