Sign of the Day of Judgment: There will be a king named Jahjah
عن أبى هريرة رضى الله عنه عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : لا تذهب الأيام والليالي حتى يملك رجل من الموالي يقال له الجهجاه
Reference: Muslim: Book of Tribulations: Chapter: The Hour will not be established until a man passes by the grave of another man (2911) Ahmad (2/435) Tirmidhi (2228)
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Day and night will not end until a man among the slaves, who will be called Jahjah, becomes a king.
Benefits:
➊ The emergence of a king named Jahjah is a sign of the Day of Judgment.
➋ This man will not be from the Qahtani lineage but will be someone else because he will be from among the slaves, and a Qahtani person will be free, since the Qahtanis are attributed to the tribes of Himyar, Hamdan, and Kinda of Yemen, whose freedom is certain.
Reference: Fath al-Bari (6/545)
➌ The appearance of this sign has not yet occurred.
➍ The king named Jahjah will not be chosen by the people of decision and consultation but will impose himself and become a ruler.
Reference: Tuhfat al-Ahwazi (482/6)
➎ The meaning of this hadith is not that he will become the king of all Muslims or the entire earth, but rather the king of a specific region and specific people; it is most likely that he will become the king of the Arabs.
➏ The intended meaning is that the prestige, authority, respect, and status of the Quraysh will diminish, and other people, even those like slaves, will begin to take over governance.
