Yes, it is obligatory for a housemaid to observe hijab in front of her employer and not display her adornment to him.
It is also prohibited for an employer to be alone (khalwah) with his female housemaid based on general Islamic rulings.
The lack of hijab and exposure of adornment by the housemaid can lead to temptation (fitnah) and sinful attraction. If an employer remains alone with his female housemaid, it creates an opportunity for Shaytan (Satan) to tempt them towards immorality.
