Does Shayṭān disgrace human beings?
Yes, indeed. Allah Almighty states:
“Indeed, he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me. And Shayṭān is ever a deserter to man.”
[Al-Furqān: 29]
This verse signifies that after divine guidance had reached the individual, Shayṭān caused him to turn away from the Qur’ān and its teachings. The person confesses that Shayṭān misled him after the truth had come, thus distancing him from the path of remembrance and righteousness.
Allah further affirms:
وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنسَانِ خَذُولًا ﴿٢٩﴾
“And Shayṭān is ever a deserter to man.”
[Al-Furqān: 29]
Meaning:
✔ Shayṭān distances people from truth, pulling them away from divine guidance.
✔ He exploits humans for falsehood, using them in evil and calling them toward wickedness.
✔ Eventually, he abandons them in humiliation and disgrace, leaving them without support after leading them astray.
Shayṭān's role is not only to misguide but also to disgrace and abandon mankind at their moment of greatest need. He is treacherous, and his companionship only leads to loss and dishonor.
