It is not proven to give charity in silver equivalent to the weight of a baby’s hair, which is shaved on the seventh day after birth. There is a narration that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) to give charity in silver equal to the weight of the hair of Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) after his birth.
