Sharʿi Ruling on Qasr and Combining Prayers for a Traveler

I study in an institute which is forty kilometers away from the city. Can I shorten my prayers daily?

Yes, you are considered a traveler (musafir). Therefore:
- You are permitted to shorten (Qasr) your prayers.
- You are also allowed to combine two prayers (Jamʿ).
