If impurity (e.g., a filthy object) falls into 10, 15, or 20 sers of milk, syrup, or ghee, does the entire content become impure, or is there any solution to preserve its purity? Please respond in the light of Qurʾān and Ḥadīth.
There is a clear directive in the ḥadīth regarding such cases. If an impure substance—like a mouse—falls into a hot liquid, the entire liquid becomes impure.
«وَإِنْ كَانَ مَائِعًا فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُ»
(Narrated by Abū Dāwūd)
Translation:
“If it (ghee or another substance) is in liquid (melted) form, then do not go near it.”
Based on this ḥadīth:
✘ If any impure object (like a mouse or any other najas substance) falls into hot/melted ghee, syrup, or milk,
→ then the entire liquid becomes impure.
✔ This same ruling applies to hot syrup and hot milk as well.
