This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا يبع بعضكم على بيع بعض
"None of you should sell on the sale of another person."

② It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا يبع الرجل على بيع أخيه حتى يبتاع أو يدر
"No man should sell on his brother's sale until he buys it or leaves it."

① Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam رضي الله عنه narrates, I asked, O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! If a person comes to me with the intention of buying, but the item he wants is not with me, should I then buy it from the market and give it to him? The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا تبع ما ليس عندك
"Do not sell what you do not possess."

① Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
من فرق بين الوالدة وولدها فرق الله بينه وبين أحبته يوم القيامة
"Whoever causes separation between a mother and her child, Allah will cause separation between him and his most beloved person on the Day of Resurrection."

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali رضي الله عنه that he caused separation between a slave woman and her child, so the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade him from doing so and returned the sale.

① Sayyiduna Ali رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم gave me two slaves, so I sold one of them. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said to me:
ما فعل غلامك ؟ "What has your slave done?"
I told him, and he صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

"Bring him back, bring him back."
