Shariah Ruling on Taking Allowance Without Performing Representation

It is obligatory for you to return the allowance because you are not entitled to it if you did not perform the representation.
If returning it is not feasible, then it should be spent on charitable causes—such as giving in charity to the poor—along with repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah. One must also refrain from engaging in such actions in the future.
