✿ Ruling on Removing Ihram Without Performing Umrah & Clarification on Fidyah ✿
Question:
If an elderly couple went for Umrah and, after entering the Haram, the wife got separated from her husband. Despite much effort, the husband could not find her, and due to exhaustion, he returned to the hotel and removed his Ihram without performing Umrah. What is the ruling in this situation?
Answer by Esteemed Researcher: Hafiz Muhammad Tahir (حفظہ اللہ):
In such a case, the person must re-enter the state of Ihram and perform Umrah again.
If he deliberately committed any of the prohibited acts while in the state of Ihram — such as wearing stitched clothing — then Fidyah (compensatory penalty) becomes obligatory upon him.
