Question:
I wish to place several copies of the Qur’an in a mosque in the name of my deceased brother.
Answer:
If this is from your own wealth, it is permissible, and you will also be rewarded for your sincerity in this act. If it is from the inheritance of the deceased, then it is only permissible with the consent of the heirs. In this case, both you and the deceased will be rewarded according to your action and sincerity.
