Shar‘i Ruling on Placing an Electric Heater in Front of a Worshipper During Prayer
Source: Fatāwā Arkān al-Islām
Is there any Shar‘i prohibition against having an electric heater placed in front of a person while praying?
What is the ruling on placing such a heater in front of worshippers in the mosque, especially in the direction of the qiblah?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāh, ammā ba‘d:
There is no harm in placing an electric heater in the qiblah direction in a mosque, in front of the worshippers as they stand to pray.
No form of Shar‘i prohibition regarding this matter is known to me.
