I understand your point now. You are asking about the method of Tablighi Jamaat or similar groups, where they encourage people to go out in qafila and call others in that specific organized way.

Yes, this particular method is an innovation, because such a practice was possible in the time of the Prophet ﷺ, the Sahabah, and the Tabi‘een, yet they did not adopt this specific style in religion.

However, the أصل of da‘wah itself is proven from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and calling الناس towards Allah is no doubt a righteous act when done upon the correct methodology.

Our main difference with such groups is that their da‘wah often includes shirk, bid‘ah, and weak or false stories about their elders. We already have many articles on this forum refuting their beliefs, errors, and practices.
