This excerpt is taken from the Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi by Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما that a man from the tribe of Bakr bin Laith came to the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and confessed that he had committed adultery with a woman four times. He was then given one hundred lashes because he was unmarried. Then the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم asked him for evidence and testimony regarding the woman, so the woman said:
“O Messenger of Allah! By Allah! He has lied.”
Then, as a punishment for falsely accusing her, the same lashes were given to him.

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه that a person was brought to the presence of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم who had been drinking alcohol. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم struck him forty times with two branches of a date palm. The narrator states that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه did the same.

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Saeed رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم established the punishment by striking forty times with sandals. Musar states, I think this was regarding alcohol.

① It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Makhzumiya woman was very important among the Quraysh, and she had committed theft. They said, "Who will intercede for her with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?" Then they said, "No one except the beloved and favored Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) can dare to do so." So Sayyiduna Usama spoke to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he said:
أتشفع فى حد من حدود الله؟
"Do you intercede regarding any of the limits set by Allah?"
Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood up to deliver a sermon and said:
إنما أهلكت الذين من قبلكم أنهم كانوا إذا سرق فيهم الشريف تركوه، وإذا سرق فيهم الضعيف أقاموا عليه الحد، وأيم الله لو أن فاطمة بنت محمد سرقت لقطعت يدها
"It was this very thing that destroyed the people before you. Their practice was that if a noble person among them stole, they would let him go, but if a weak person among them stole, they would apply the punishment on him. By Allah! If Fatimah bint Muhammad (peace be upon him) were to steal, I would cut off her hand."

③ Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a woman from Banu Makhzum committed theft and was brought before the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him). She sought refuge with the Noble Prophet’s wife, Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her), upon which the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
والله لو كانت فاطمة لقطعت يدها
By Allah! Even if she were Fatimah bint Muhammad (peace be upon him), I would cut off her hand as well.
