Hadith 1

The Chief of All Supplications for Forgiveness
Hadith 2

I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

Translation:
When the Prophet ﷺ saw the wind blowing, he would say:
“O Allah! I ask You for the good of it, the good within it, and the good for which it was sent.
And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil within it, and the evil for which it was sent.”

Supplication of Istikhārah (Seeking Guidance)
Hadith 40
Translation:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us the way of doing Istikhārah (seeking guidance) for all our affairs as he taught us a Surah from the Qur’an. He said:
“When anyone of you intends to undertake a matter, he should pray two Rak‘ahs (non-obligatory prayer) and then say:
‘O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask You from Your immense bounty.
For You have power and I have none, and You know and I do not; You are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah! If You know that this matter (mention your matter) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs — then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless me in it.
And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs — then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and decree for me what is good wherever it may be, and make me pleased with it.’”
Supplication for the Conclusion of a Gathering
Hadith 41
Translation:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever sits in a gathering where he engages in much idle talk, and before rising says:
‘Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You.
I bear witness that there is no deity except You.
I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance,’
all the sins committed in that gathering will be forgiven.”
