◈ Prophet Ibrāhīm عليه السلام and Circumcision

Arabic Text:
اختتن إبراهيم وهو ابن ثمانين سنة بالقدوم

Translation:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Ibrāhīm (Abraham) عليه السلام circumcised himself with an adze (hatchet) at the age of eighty (80) years.

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Kitāb Aḥādīth al-Anbiyā’, Chapter: “And Allah took Ibrāhīm as a friend” — Ḥadīth No. 3356

❖ Important Note on Fitrah Practices

Cutting the moustache,
Removing pubic hair,
Clipping the nails,
Plucking the underarm hair
All these are part of the fitrah (natural human disposition) and have a maximum time limit of forty (40) days.
Delaying these practices beyond forty days is sinful and impermissible.

◈ Time Limit Prescribed by the Prophet ﷺ

Arabic Text:
وقت لنا رسول الله فى قص الشارب وتقليم الأظفار وحلق العانة ونتف الإبط أن لا نترك أكثر من أربعين يوما

Translation:
Anas bin Mālik رضي الله عنه said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fixed a time for us in trimming the moustache, clipping the nails, shaving the pubic hair, and plucking the underarm hair — that we should not leave them for more than forty days.”

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ al-Nasā’ī, Kitāb Dhikr al-Fiṭrah, Chapter: “Time Limit for These Acts” — Ḥadīth No. 14
