This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal Nawaahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamaat o Mamnooat.
① Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who said:
ولا يسرق السارق حين يسرق وهو مؤمن
When a fornicator commits fornication, he is not a believer, and when a thief steals, he is not a believer.

② Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who said:
لعن الله السارق يسرق البيضة فتقطع يده، ويسرق الحبل فتقطع يده
May Allah curse the thief; if he steals an egg, his hand is cut off, and if he steals a rope, his hand is cut off.

① Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه narrates, I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم that if a case of Qisas (retribution) came to you, you would order to pardon in that matter.
Reference: Abu Dawood, Kitab al-Diyat 4497. This narration is authentic.
② Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
ما من رجل يصاب بشيء من جسده فيتصدق به إلا رفعه الله بها درجة وحط عنه بها خطيئة
If a person suffers any harm in his body from someone and does not take revenge, then Allah raises that person by one degree and forgives one of his sins because of that.
Reference: Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Diyat 1393. Ibn Majah, Kitab al-Diyat 2693. This narration is weak because there is a discontinuity between Abu al-Safar and Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه. Imam Tirmidhi رحمه الله says that Abu al-Safar's hearing from Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه is not established.
① Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من أتى بهيمة فاقتلوه واقتلوها معه
Whoever has intercourse with an animal, kill him along with the animal. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما was asked, what is the fault of the animal? He said: I have heard something about this from the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. But I think that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم disliked that the meat of the animal with which such an act was done should be eaten or any benefit should be taken from it.
Reference: Abu Dawood, Kitab al-Hudood 4464. Imam Abu Dawood رحمه الله said that this hadith is not strong.
① Sayyida Aisha رضي الله عنها narrates, some people stole the milk-giving camels of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, so when he caught them, the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم cut off their hands and feet and branded their eyes with hot iron rods.
