This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
ليس لنا مثل السوء الذى يعود فى هبته كالكلب يقيء ثم يعود فى قيئه
It is not bad for us that a man gives something and then takes it back; he is like a dog that vomits and then eats it again.

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا يحل لرجل أن يعطي عطية أو يهب هبة ثم يرجع فيها إلا الوالد فيما يعطي ولده، ومثل الذى يرجع فى عطيته أو هبته كالكلب يأكل فإذا شبع قاء ثم عاد فى قيئه
It is not lawful for a man to give a gift or a grant and then take it back, except a father who gives a gift to his child. And the person who takes back his gift or grant is like a dog that eats and when it is full, vomits and then eats its vomit again.

① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say:
من عرض عليه طيب فلا يرده فإنه طيب الريح خفيف المحمل
Whoever is offered perfume should not return it because it perfumes the environment and is light to carry.

② Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
ثلاث لا ترد، الوسائد، والدهن، والطيب
Three things should not be returned: a pillow, oil, and perfume; they should be accepted.

③ Sayyiduna Anas (RA) narrates that when perfume was presented to the Messenger of Allah (SAW), he did not return it.

① Sayyiduna Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من شفع لأحد شفاعة فأهدى له هدية عليها فقبلها فقد أتى بابا عظيما من أبواب الربا
Whoever recommends someone and a gift is presented to him for that, and he accepts it, then he has adopted a very major form of usury.

① Sayyiduna Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه narrates from the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, who said:
ثلاثة لا يكلمهم الله ولا ينظر إليهم يوم القيامة ولا يزكيهم ولهم عذاب أليم
There are three types of people whom Allah will neither speak to, nor look at with mercy on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and for them is a painful punishment.
The narrator states that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم recited this three times. Sayyiduna Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه said that these people are unsuccessful and disappointed. It was asked: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! Who are these people? He replied:
المسبل، والمنان، والمنفق سلعته بالحلف الكاذب
One who lets his garment hang below the ankles, one who shows off his good deeds, and one who sells his goods by swearing falsely.

② Sayyiduna Amr ibn Aas رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا يدخل الجنة منان ولا عاق ولا مدمن خمر
One who shows off his good deeds, one who disobeys his parents, and one who is a habitual drinker will not enter Paradise.

③ Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا يدخل الجنة خب ولا بخيل ولا منان
One who spreads corruption, one who is stingy, and one who shows off his good deeds will not enter Paradise.
