Prohibition of Denying One's Child

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that when the verse of Malaa'nat (Laan) was revealed, he heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
أيما امرأة أدخلت علىٰ قوم من ليس منهم فليست من الله فى شيء ، ولن يدخلها الله جنته ، وأيما رجل جحد ولده وهو ينظر إليه احتجب الله عنه يوم القيامة وفضحه علىٰ رؤوس الأولين والآخرين
“Whoever attributes a child to a people to whom he has no relation, then he has no share with Allah (in His religion and mercy), and Allah will not admit him to Paradise, and (likewise) if a man denies his child while the child is looking at him, then on the Day of Resurrection Allah will veil him (deprive him of His sight) and disgrace him in the presence of all creation.”

Instructions Regarding Aqiqah

① Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir Dhabbi رضي الله عنه narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
مع الغلام عقيقة فأهريقوا عنه دما ، وأميطوا عنه الأذىٰ
"A boy has an 'Aqiqah' performed for him, so shed blood on his behalf (by performing Aqiqah) and relieve his suffering."

② Sayyiduna Samrah bin Jundub رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الغلام مرتهن بعقيقته يذبح عنه يوم السابع ويحلق رأسه ويسمىٰ
"A boy is pledged because of his Aqiqah; on the seventh day, two animals will be slaughtered on his behalf, his head will be shaved, and he will be named."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Sacrifices 1522. Abu Dawood, Book of Sacrifices 2838. The narration is authentic.

③ Sayyida Aisha رضي الله عنها narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ordered that two goats of the same age be slaughtered for a boy and one goat for a girl.

④ Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه narrates that the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم performed his Aqiqah after being honored with the position of prophethood.
