This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
Prohibition of Preferring One Prophet over Another
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما that the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا ينبغي لعبد أن يقول: أنا خير من يونس بن متى ونسبہ إلی ابیہ
"It is not appropriate for any servant to say: I am better than Yunus bin Mati. You have attributed him to his father."

② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reports that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا ينبغي لعبد وفي رواية أن يقول: أنا خير من يونس بن متى
"It is not appropriate for any servant, and in one narration, it is not appropriate for any servant to say: I am better than Yunus bin Mati."

③ Sayyiduna Abu Saeed رضي الله عنه reports that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا تخيروا بين الأنبياء
"Do not prefer one prophet over another."

Instructions regarding following Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq and Sayyiduna Umar رضي الله عنهما
① Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
اقتدوا بالذين من بعدي من أصحابي أبى بكر وعمر، واهتدوا بهدي عمار، وتمسكوا بعبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنهما
"After me, follow my companions Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه and Umar رضي الله عنه, follow the path of Ammar, and hold firmly to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud رضي الله عنهما."
Reference: At-Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib, Bab Manaqib Ibn Mas'ud 38 and it is unique in this. And its words are: Hold firmly to the era of Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه.
Love for the Ahl al-Bayt of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم
① Sayyiduna Zarr bin Hubaysh رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard Sayyiduna Ali رضي الله عنه saying: By the One Who split the grain (caused it to sprout) and created the soul! The unlettered Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم made a covenant with me that a believer will love me and a hypocrite will harbor enmity against me.

② Sayyida Umm Salamah رضي الله عنها narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
لا يحب عليا منافق ولا يبغضه مؤمن
"A hypocrite will not love Sayyiduna Ali رضي الله عنه and a believer will not harbor enmity against him."
Reference: Tirmidhi 1161, 3717, Musnad Ahmad 6/292 Although this narration is weak due to Masawar al-Humairi who is unknown, it is considered good due to the previous hadith.
③ Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم took the hands of Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husayn رضي الله عنهما and said:
من أحبني وأحب هذين وأباهما وأمهما كان معي فى درجتي يوم القيامة
"Whoever loves me, these two, their father, and their mother, will be with me on the Day of Resurrection at my rank."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib from the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم 3733. Its chain is weak due to Ali bin Ja'far.
④ Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
أحبوا الله لما يغذوكم من نعمه وأحبوني بحب الله وأحبوا أهل بيتي
"Love Allah who has blessed you with so many blessings, and out of love for Allah, love me, and out of love for me, love my Ahl al-Bayt."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib from the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم 3789. This narration is weak due to the ignorance of Abdullah bin Sulaiman an-Nawfali.
⑤ Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said regarding Sayyiduna Ali, Sayyida Fatimah, and Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husayn رضي الله عنهم:
أنا حرب لمن حاربتم وسلم لمن سالمتم
"Whoever fights against you, I am at war with him, and whoever makes peace with you, I make peace with him."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib 3870, Ibn Majah, Al-Muqaddimah 145. This narration is weak due to the ignorance of the narrator.
