This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnooat.
① Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas رضي الله عنهما narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was neither foul-mouthed nor obscene, and the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم used to say:
إن من خياركم أحسنكم أخلاقا
"The best among you are those who have the best manners."

② Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
ما كان الفحش فى شيء إلا شانه، وما كان الحياء فى شيء إلا زانه
"That in which there is obscenity makes it ugly and defective, and that in which there is modesty adorns it."

③ Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
ما من شيء أثقل فى ميزان المؤمن يوم القيامة من خلق حسن، فإن الله يبغض الفاحش البديء
"On the Day of Resurrection, nothing will weigh more in the scale of a believer than good character, because Allah hates the foul-mouthed and the spiteful."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا يدخل الجنة قاطع
"One who severs the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise."

② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reports that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن الله خلق الخلق حتى إذا فرغ منهم قامت الرحم فقالت: هذا مقام العائذ بك من القطيعة، قال: نعم أما ترضين أن أصل من وصلك؟ وأقطع من قطعك؟ قالت: بلى قال: فذاك لك
"Allah created the creation, and when He finished, the ties of kinship stood up and said: My standing is for the protection of the one who severs me. Allah said: Yes, that is correct. Are you not pleased that I will unite with the one who unites you (maintains kinship), and I will sever from the one who severs you? The ties of kinship said: Why not, rather I am pleased. Allah said: Then so it shall be."
Then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
اقرؤوا إن شئتم: ﴿فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ - إلٰي قَوْلهٖ - أَقْفَالُهَا ﴾
"If you wish, recite this verse: It is not strange if you become a ruler."

① Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu'bah رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
إن الله كره لكم قيل وقال، وإضاعة المال، وكثرة السؤال
"Indeed, Allah dislikes passing on heard information without verification, wasting wealth, and excessive questioning."
