This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
كفى بالمرء كذبا أن يحدث بكل ما سمع
"It is sufficient for a man to be a liar that he narrates everything he hears."

② Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إذا كذب العبد تباعد عنه الملك ميلا من نتن ما جاء به
"When a person tells a lie, the angel moves one mile away from him because of the stench arising from him."

③ Safwan bin Sulaym رحمه الله states, we asked: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! Can a believer be a liar? He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم replied: "No."

④ Sayyiduna Sufyan bin Asid al-Hadrami رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
كبرت خيانة أن تحدث أخاك حديثا هو لك به مصدق، وأنت له به كاذب
"The greatest betrayal is that you speak to your brother while he considers you truthful, but you are lying to him."

① Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu'bah رضي الله عنه narrates from the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, who said:
إن الله حرم عليكم عقوق الأمهات، ومنعا وهات، ووأد البنات، وكره لكم قيل وقال، وكثرة السؤال، وإضاعة المال
"Allah has forbidden you to disobey mothers, to withhold giving, to keep asking from others, and to bury daughters alive; while passing on hearsay, excessive questioning, and wasting wealth are disliked for you."

① Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
إن اللعانين لا يكونون شهداء ولا شفعاء يوم القيامة
“Those who curse will neither be witnesses nor intercessors on the Day of Judgment.”

② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا ينبغي لصديق أن يكون لعانا
“It is not befitting for a Siddiq (truthful person) to be one who curses and abuses.”

③ Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا تلاعنوا بلعنة الله ولا بغضبه ولا بالنار
“Do not curse one another with the curse of Allah, His wrath, and the curse of Hell.”

④ Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
إذا لعن العبد شيئا صعدت اللعنة إلى السماء، فتغلق أبواب السماء دونها، ثم تهبط إلى الأرض، فتغلق أبوابها دونها، ثم تأخذ يمينا وشمالا، فإذا لم تجد مساغا رجعت إلى الذى لعن، فإن كان أهلا لذلك وإلا رجعت على قائلها
“When a person curses something, the curse ascends towards the sky, but before it reaches, the gates of the sky are closed. Then it descends towards the earth, but its gates are also closed. Then it goes right and left, but when it finds no way, it goes to the one who is cursed; if he is deserving, then it reaches him, otherwise it returns to the one who uttered it.”

⑤ Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was on a journey and an Ansari woman was riding a she-camel. She scolded it and cursed it. When the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم heard this, he said:
خذوا ما عليها ودعوها فإنها ملعونة
“Take whatever is on it and leave it, for it is cursed.”
Sayyiduna Imran رضي الله عنه narrates that it is as if I am now seeing it walking among the people and no one is offering it anything.

⑥ Sayyiduna Abu Burzah Aslami رضي الله عنه narrates, once a girl was on a she-camel and she had some belongings with her. When she saw the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and the pass became narrow, she urged and scolded the she-camel saying: “O Allah! Curse it.” The Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا تصاحبنا ناقة عليها لعنة
“A she-camel that is cursed will not travel with us.”
