This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal Nawaahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamaat o Mamnooat.
① Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
آية المنافق بغض الأنصار، وآية المؤمن حب الأنصار
"Holding enmity against the Ansar is a sign of hypocrisy, and loving the Ansar is a sign of faith."

② Sayyiduna Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) himself narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا يبغض الأنصار رجل يؤمن بالله وباليوم الآخر
"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day does not hold enmity against the Ansar."

① Our master Salman Farsi, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
لا تبغضني فتفارق دينك
"Do not hold enmity against me, for it will separate you from your religion."
I said: O Messenger of Allah, how can I hold enmity against you when Allah has guided me through you? He, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
تبغض العرب فتبغضني
"If you hold enmity against the Arabs, it is equivalent to holding enmity against me."

Imam Tirmidhi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: This hadith is Hasan Gharib. It is known from the narration of Abu Badr Shuja bin Waleed, and I heard Muhammad bin Ismail say: The meeting of Abu Dhubyan with a Muslim is not established and he died before Salman Ali.
Prohibition of insulting the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him
① Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا تسبوا أصحابي، فلو أن أحدكم أنفق مثل أحد ذهبا ما بلغ مد أحدهم ولا نصيفه
"Do not insult my companions! If any one of you were to spend gold equal to the size of a mountain, he would not reach the level of spending even a Mudd (approximately 700 grams) or half a Mudd among them."

② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا تسبوا أصحابي، فوالذي نفسي بيده لو أن أحدكم أنفق مثل أحد ذهبا ما أدرك مد أحدهم ولا نصيفه
"Do not insult my noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them)! By the One in Whose hand is my soul! If any one of you were to spend gold equal to the size of a mountain, he would neither reach the level of spending a Mudd (approximately 700 grams) among them nor half of it."

③ Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
إذا رأيتم الذين يسبون أصحابي فقولوا: لعنة الله على شركم
"When you see those who insult my noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them), say: May Allah's curse be upon your evil."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Virtues 3866. Imam Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This hadith is weak. It contains unknown narrators Nazar bin Hammad and Saif bin Umar.
④ Sayyiduna Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said to me:
My nephew! You have been commanded to seek forgiveness for the noble companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
